Name For A Magazine For Diabetes In Australia

This is a crowded space so I need something that will resonate with a both men and women in the baby boomer age category...This is not a health professional mag but for people living with the condition

    What's the theme - food, exercise, lifestyle, fashion, or something else? What will separate this mag from the rest of the competition? What country?

    What unmet need do you plan to address? Why would someone in your target audience subscribe? Advertisers won't support you if you don't have subscribers. You need a unique position in your market.

    This is an existing mag just freshening it up... Content is lifestyle, recipes, exercise, and health advice on looking after diabetes in Australia

    One of the things I like about a name like VERVE is that it is an upbeat name that won't remind folks with diabetes that they are ill (i.e., have a disease). I suspect that most diabetics do not want to be identified by the disease -- they just want to keep it under control and enjoy their lives (like the rest of us).

    What is the name of the magazine now? Coming up with a new name seems like it could be overkill for "freshening it up." Have you interviewed some folks in your target audience to see what they like/dislike about the current incarnation of the magazine? Maybe they would have some ideas that could lead to a new name, if you are really convinced you need one.

    Hope you have decided on a name by now! Just noticed that you have a unique value proposition. How will the magazine survive not being branded a health mag when it is meant for diabetics?
